DETAILS RE 2007 TRAINING FOR THE PESSO BOYDEN SYSTEM PSYCHOMOTOR

We are planning a new training which will start in 2007. This first year (12 days training) is intended to be the foundation year of a three year training.

COST OF FOUNDATION YEAR 2007

Cost of Foundation Year Training (Level 1) will be £1850. This is made up of £1370 (training fees, payable in advance) + £480 (your share of the cost of the venue, payable on the first day of each module).

TRAINING FEES WILL BE PAYABLE IN ADVANCE

Pesso UK is a not-for-profit organisation and the training programme is priced as close to actual cost as we can achieve. This ensures that the training is available as widely as possible, and offers a stability of numbers to each training group that assists learning. It is for this reason that we ask everyone to commit to a non-refundable payment of the first years training fees. This will be payable in two stages, the first stage of £685 will be due on 30th November 2006, and the remaining £685 will be due on 1st February 2006

COST OF THE VENUE

Venue costs are paid separately by participants directly to the Richmond Gate hotel. Because of the long-standing relationship we have with the venue, participants pay a 'day-delegate' rate well below the hotel's usual charge.

The payment of £120 per module (£40 per day) is payable to the hotel on the first morning of each module of the workshop. The day delegate fee includes use of training space, lunch and tea/coffee/refreshments.

ACCOMODATION

This is not a residential course. You are expected to arrange your own accommodation. There are local b and b's, and hotels.

VENUE

The training for the 2007 Foundation Year will be held at the Richmond Gate Hotel, Richmond Hill, Surrey TW10 6RW.

DAYS AND DATES FOR THE FOUNDATION YEAR

The Foundation year is made up of four modules of three days each, making a total of twelve days in the period 1 March 2007 - 28 February 2008

METHOD OF PAYMENT

The number of places on this course are limited and are offered on a first come first served basis. Email sally.potter@zen.co.uk or call 07770 616791 to indicate your interest. You will then be given instructions. Preferred payments methods are direct transfer into the PBSP UK bank account, or a personal cheque.

PROCESS FOR CERTIFICATION

This is the first year of a three year training course. This year will be known as the Foundation Year (Level 1). Completion of the four modules of the Foundation Year leads to a Level 1 certificate of attendance. A minimum of 90% attendance is required.

If you decide to go on and complete years two and three (a further 12 days each year), then you will receive a Level 2 certificate of attendance (making a total of 36 days of attendance). You may then be eligible to apply for full certification as a Pesso Boyden Therapist. To apply full certification you need to have

• Completed 3 years of Pesso Boyden Training (36 days)
• Have a relevant degree, and be a qualified and recognised practising therapist or present equivalent evidence of these credentials.
• Received 30 hours of video supervision (or equivalent) from a recognised Pesso supervisor
• Submit a video tape of your work, which will be examined by 3 external examiners (there is a charge for this).

Successful completion of the above leads to the award of Level 3 certification.

RE PRICE AND LOCATION FOR YEARS TWO AND THREE

Please note that we have not yet fixed the price or the location for years two and three. Every effort will be made to minimise training costs.
