beyond the scheduled training days
- Knowledge and
understanding of PBSP theory and principles is underpinned by study of relevant
prescribed literature. (This is not assessed though written assignments but
through ongoing assessment of participants' practical understanding of PBSP
theory demonstrated in the way they work with the approach.)
- Participants apply and
deepen mastery of the practical skills of PBSP through peer Intervision,
scheduled with fellow group members between training modules.
- As participants begin to
practice PBSP skills more fully in the second half of their 3 years they are
expected to arrange supervision for their PBSP practice.

Summary of award
gained through PBSP Training
There are several levels of
award through different levels of achievement:
1. Completion of Foundation
training year: participants receive a certificate of attendance for an
Introduction to PBSP Theory and Practice
2. Completion of all three
years of training: participants who successfully complete an end-of-training
practical assessment are confirmed as PBSP practitioners and permitted to use
PBSP in their work. (N.B. If their work prior to training is as a
psychotherapist, PBSP training augments and complements this. If their work
prior to training is as a business coach or management development specialist,
PBSP training deepens and enhances practice - it does not provide a therapeutic
qualification.)
3. Successful completion of
(2) above - whether as a therapist or a business coach - entitles practitioners
to submit a film of themselves leading a structure. If the work achieves the
appropriate standard set by the PBSP International Assessment Board (Al Pesso,
Diane Boyden-Pesso and Lowijs Perquin) the practitioner achieves Certification
as a Pesso-Boyden Practitioner within the field in which they practice.
