DR LOWIJS PERQUIN RESUME

Dr. Lowijs Perquin, MD (b.1950) is a psychiatrist-psychotherapist and co-ordinating supervisor of Pesso Boyden System Psychomotor System (PBSP) in Europe. He studied medicine in Groningen, the Netherlands, and Psychiatry and Psychotherapy in Amsterdam. He is a Director of Education and lecturer at the Faculties of Medicine and Psychology of the 'Vrije Universiteit' in Amsterdam. His activities cover the fields of Community Mental Health Care, research into decision-making processes and mind-body approaches to personal development. He works in six European countries, as a senior trainer in PBSP, running three-year courses. He also applies the method to executives who want to become better leaders by updating the personal and emotional patterns that influence their present-day business decisions.

He has published on decision-making models, the process of change in organisations and mind-body approaches to personal development and is a regular keynote speaker at congresses in New York, Germany and the Netherlands. Dr. Perquin has been a consultant to the police in Amsterdam for seven years. He also co-leads Cranfield University's Organisational and Interpersonal Skills in Management programmes and leads an ongoing development programme for senior staff members of Praxis, the Centre for Developing Personal Effectiveness at Cranfield University. Through his inspiring approach and trustworthy, dedicated style of working, he enables executives and teams to discover their hidden potential and develop their core values, enhancing both team cohesion and the corporate culture of their organisations.
