FOR THE 1ST TIME IN THE UK: COUPLES WORKSHOP USING PBSP WITH LOWIJS PERQUIN
Workshop For Couples:
A rare opportunity to work with Lowijs Perquin one of Europe's leading teachers and practitioners in the Body Mind Therapy Pesso-Boyden System Psychomotor
Thursday July 17th and Friday July 18th
The course will be held in Chepstow, Monmouthshire, S. Wales
For the first time in the UK you have the opportunity to do personal development work as a couple using the Pesso-Boyden System. This powerful method can be used very effectively with all the issues that couples face. Two structures (client sessions) are run almost simultaneously, so that not only does each member of the couple have their own structure, but they are also able to see how their issues impact and reflect on their partner and the relationship.
This workshop is designed for couples, to help and facilitate their relationship. Lowijs will be running two days of Pesso Boyden 'structures' for couples. There will be six 'couple' structures run over the two day period. Lowijs will not be running another workshop open to the public in 2008.
There are various ways in which you may attend this workshop.
1) As a couple with a pre-booked session: This will mean that you have pre-booked a 'couple structure' to work through some issue, attending both days. COSTS: Full cost is £750 per couple (i.e. £375 per person for the two day course) including a structure in which the couple will participate together. £650 per couple (£325 per person) with an early booking discount, for those who book before 31/3/08.
2) As an observer/participant. You will be asked to participate in other people's structures (clients sessions) but will not receive a structure of your own as a client. You will be required to attend the two days. COSTS: The full cost for this is £260 per person. If booked before 31/3/08 you get an early booking discount and the cost is £210 per person.
If you are interested in attending for only one day, or having a individual structure, then please contact Juliet on inter.action@virgin.net.
Who should attend: The workshop is open to all. Couples of all kinds can attend. You could be in an intimate relationship, in a working relationship, siblings, or parents and children who wish to explore an issue together using the PBSP method. The observer/participants may be in a relationship or not. They may be curious to learn more about couple issues, dynamics and the common factors in relationships. Counsellors and psychotherapists may also be curious to understand more about mind body systemic work, and see a master in action. Any therapist who works with couples will benefit from attending.

What Clinicians Say About Psychomotor:
"The main requirement for this 'missing link' in couples work (or work with any adult client in a family) is a method which allows control in staging and re-staging key family dramas - without requiring that the family of origin change dramatically. In the work of Albert Pesso and Diane Boyden-Pesso, whose approach I have described in more detail in "The Fragile Bond" (Napier, 1988), I have found such a method, and it offers exciting potential to this latter stage of family of origin work." - Augusta Napier, Ph.D.
"Over the past 40 years, Al Pesso and Diane Boyden-Pesso have perfected an extraordinarily effective technique, PBSP(Pesso Boyden System Psychomotor), providing people with experiences that were missing during their growth and development. The artistry of Pesso's structure can be a unique and profoundly altering.experience." - Bessel a van der Kolk, M.D.
"I now believe it to be true that unprocessed painful memories are often lodged within the nervous circuitry in physical ways and not addressable by means of traditional.forms.of.treatment. - Maggie Scarf
"Psychomotor psychotherapy is a brilliantly conceived, extraordinarily effective, internationally acclaimed mindbody approach." - Martha Stark, M.D
